The week started with us taking the lorry down to MC Truck to get the brakes and light fixed, we then went back to the test centre and all went well and we got our test certificate - thank god! Wednesday we went down to see little Bambi and Julian got her jumping over a decent size fence with Kate, I can't wait to get her home! Thursday we went and got Dessiewho I think has drove poor Henk mad! every time he walked past her stable with a mare and foal or a stallion she was over the door running around the yard! So as you can imagine, he was extremely pleased to see her in the lorry! I also took some pictures of the stallion we used, so will get them posted soon, now all we have to do is wait for 16 days from the last covering which was Tuesday, so around the 6th/7th May we should know, so fingers crossed. Dessie, who I can honestly say has never been any trouble to keep at home, has never jumped out of her field (and she has lived out for the last 3 years) and certainly has never jumped out of her stable, did decide last night to jump out of her field and then over the raised 5 bar gate at 11pm, then run up and down the path from my back garden, past the barn to my office which of course was sending most of the horses crazy, I honestly thought I was seeing things when I looked out my kitchen window and this grey thing was running about! so there I was in my dressing gown catching her and having to put her in the only spare stable! Really don't know whats happened to her, so now she is out in the day and in at night!
Saturday, Julian gave Kate on Roo and Jamie on Fred a lesson and that went really well. I could not believe how busy the yard was in the afternoon, I can honestly say that in nearly 4 years that I have been here, I have never seen 7 people at once in the school! Sunday, Tia found a baby mouse in Buster's stable, which I think had been stood on as it was draging it's back end, of course she wanted to rescue it! so she made a box of hay, found 2 egg cups and filled one with water and one with horse mix, needless to say that the mouse she named Minnie died 2 hours later, so tears and a burial have taken up most of the afternoon!
Also we welcome back Lauren who has been stuck out in Singapore a week longer then planned, Alfie & Finn are pleased to have her home.
