Lose with a paint brush!
Tuesday, 06 April 2010 22:34

This morning was hectic, I had to go to the bank and the post office, both of which seemed to have endless people standing in front of me! By the time I got back to the yard and we finished all the yard, I decided that I would start painting the outside of the barn! Luckily, I managed to get Andy to help me and also Gary (of which I am very grateful as I think I would still be there now!), we managed to nearly get the whole of the outside of the main barn done and I must say it looks soooo much better! It's amazing how a lick of paint can brighten the place up and give it that new feeling. I now feel all energetic about continuing tomorrow and hopefully the weather will stay nice and sunny and we can get the whole yard done in the next week or so, the problem is, once I start something like this I get a bit carried away with myself and I want it all done NOW, which is fine until you look around the whole yard and everything you see is wood (the stables, the barns, the school fencing, the office, the tearoom, storage area's etc etc etc! which means it all needs doing as when you start, it makes what you have not done look even more old and worn! Hopefully I will continue what I have started!

The weather was lovely today so all the horses even the competition horses spent the whole day in the field grazing and we did not start bringing in till nearly 4pm today. A very pro-active day, I love it when jobs get done that make the place look so good....
