Saturday morning BB came out a bit better but still not right, after riding we noticed that her teeth at the back of her mouth are really sharp so we are thinking this is what has brought on the sudden attitude! We have arranged for our equine dentist to come out and see to all our horses on Thursday this week. Bessie & Vita were also exercised and behaved well. Steph/Aramis and Darren/Moji went for a hack and jump around the cross country field. Sarah competed the dressage part today of her two day event and was really pleased with how Jaffa went. I was really glad we got all the riding done and all the horses in before the heavens opened, as it rained like a monsoon for about an hour, I could not even make the 10 metre walk to my house from the yard until it stopped! Bradley clipped out Finn for Lauren but he did not start until about 4 and was still going at 7.30pm by which time Finn had had enough and refused to let him continue, so Finn still has hairy front legs.
Sunday, Sarah went off early this morning for the cross country and showjumping part of her two day event. The weather was forecast to be horrendous again today but luckily it was really not that bad until much later, so luckily we managed to get all the yard done. Mr T came in feeling a bit sorry for himself, we think that he had eaten a little bit too much grass (as pony's do!) although how he manages it with only a few teeth we do not know, anyway we gave him a "bute"and this seemed to do the trick and within 15 minutes he was back to normal, although I must admit, I did come out twice in the night to check on him, he is worth his weight in gold and I would never be able to replace him, although saying that I can never rest if any horse on the yard is poorly and me walking across the yard in the middle of the night in my dressing gown is not an uncommon sight for the horses!
Monday, well the morning was ok but the afternoon was just rain rain rain, not really anything other then that to report today other then the office got a good clean and the muck heap all got leveled so nothing exciting, hopefully the rain will stop and I can get the horses out hacking tomorrow.
